Opening ceremony
The opening of Aquaterra, the Second World Forum on Delta and Coastal Development, will be performed by the Vice Minister for Transport, Public Works and Water Management of the Netherlands, mrs. Tineke Huizinga.
The country of the Netherlands has a wealth of experience and a fine reputation for the way it protects its land against water. The new Dutch Water Plan, designed to ensure that the Netherlands, in 100 years' time, will still be an attractive place to live, work and invest in, will be discussed.
